Do the hairs taken from the donor area regrow?

A hair analysis is the very first step of a hair transplant treatment. The doctor plans a treatment according to the density and the quality of the donor area. The first stage of the hair transplant procedure is the harvesting stage. The technique used in the harvesting stage is called FUE (Follicular Unit Extraction) in which the follicles are extracted individually. During harvesting, hair follicles with 1, 2, 3 or 4 hair strands are grouped to be transplanted in their correct locations.

During the harvesting with the micromotor, it is crucial that these various graft structures. The graft structures with multiple hair strands are advantageous in a hair transplant, as they provide a denser look.

Your harvested grafts won’t grow back

Despite this, existing hair will quickly cover their places, so you do not have to worry. But this is depending on the expertise of the harvesting doctor. The distances between extracted grafts should be considered carefully. Approximately 1 out of 3-4 grafts can be harvested, depending on the density of the hair. So the remaining 3-4 hairs will conceal the place of the 1 that was harvested, and the gaps will be seamless.

The experience makes all the difference in FUE

The experience and meticulousness of the practitioner is paramount when it comes to FUE. The risk is taking too many grafts too close to each other.  If this occurs, blood circulation in the donor area will be reduced and gaps will appear much more visible. In FKS Clinic’s practice donor area is as important as the transplanted area. The number of harvested grafts should be the same as incision channels. Medical professionals with experience are better able to perform this task with accuracy.
